Facilities
The Monhegan Artists’ Residency provides studio and living space on the island that has internet connections, but no land-line access. Cellphone reception can be intermittent in some island locations.
Because the residency program is designed to provide uninterrupted time away from daily obligations, no guests (including family members) are allowed to stay during the residency. No smoking is allowed in the living quarters or studios.
Elva’s Old P.O. – Apartment and Studio

Monhegan’s historic post office building is centrally located at the top of Wharf Hill with a large deck overlooking the island meadow. It offers a spacious kitchen and living room on the first floor with bedroom, bath, and studio on the second floor. The apartment and studio share the building with Elva’s Old P.O. gift shop, next door to the Lupine Gallery.
